CRJ 709 - Prisons and Jails3 Credit(s) A study of current policies and issues that affect modern confinement practices at the federal, state and local levels in the U.S. The emphasis is on rationale, classification, control, programs, treatment, supervision and outcomes. Analysis and examination of the effects of various confinement environments on federal and state prisoners are examined from sociological and psychological perspectives.
