EDS 860 - Teaching English Language Learners in the Mainstream Classroom

3 Credit(s) Designed to equip mainstream classroom teachers with the knowledge and skills to effectively teach English Language Learners at varying levels of English proficiency. Teachers will develop strategies linking English Language Proficiency Benchmarks with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Objectives include appropriate assessment, planning, and implementation of sheltered content instruction. Not open to MAT in ESL program students.
