ENG 779 - Learner Differences in English as a Second Language3 Credit(s) This course, designed primarily for present and future teachers of ESL students, will examine a range of learner characteristics including cognitive style and personality types, ways in which variations in such characteristics can influence approaches to language learning and the needs students bring to language classrooms, and techniques for identifying and accommodating learner differences.
