EDU 335 - Secondary School Curriculum Materials and Methods-English (Pre-Practicum)3 Credit(s) This course surveys a general study of the background and philosophies of teaching English, focuses on methods and materials in the classroom, investigates curriculum issues and professional concerns, analyzes the teaching/learning processes, and responds to social, political, and cultural issues of concern to the NCTE. Three lecture hours per week with integrated pre-practicum field experience of at least 25 hours. Prerequisites: EDU 252A , EDU 254A , EDU 256A , EDU 260A ; permission of the department chairperson and acceptance into Secondary Education minor/licensure track.
