HST 377 - East Africa: the Past As Present3 Credit(s) DIII This course seeks to provide an introduction to the history of East Africa, principally the modern states of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Special attention will be devoted to issues of multi-cultural contacts at frontiers of exchange, involvement in the modern world system, imperialism and neo-colonialism. Three lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credit for HIS369.
