MUS 146 - Applied Music Composition I1 Credit(s) This course provides private study in composition. Includes study of major compositional practices of the 20th century and application of these to one’s own work. These lessons occur in a one-on-one studio setting and are scheduled by the student in conjunction with the Coordinator of Applied Music and the applied music instructor. A jury submission is required and opportunities for student recital performance may be available. May be repeated for credit. Total number of credits in applied music may not exceed 8 credits. Seven hours of individual instruction per semester. Open only to Full-Time Day Student Music majors (Music majors only). Prerequisite: or permission of Department Chairperson
