HST 465 - The Holocaust3 Credit(s) V This course examines the Holocaust in the context of modern European history. It examines the roots of anti-Semitism in Europe, the racialism of Nazi ideology and the social, political, and cultural factors leading to the genocide of millions of Jews and other groups during the Third Reich and World War II. The course explores the historical, human and ethical dimensions of this event and engages students on issues such as ethnic diversity and oppression in a specific historical context. Three lecture hours per week
