SOC 345 - Race and Ethnicity in Society3 Credit(s) DIII V This course examines the ways race and ethnicity matter in society and the consequences of this for people’s lives. Racial and ethnic conflicts have played, and continue to play a central role in American life. Even as overt racial conflicts have diminished, racial inequalities persist, and at times have widened. We will examine why this continues to happen and what can be done to reduce racial inequalities.
