SPN 752 - Methods, Techniques and Strategies for Teaching Spanish (5-12)3 Credit(s) This course will explore methods and strategies of teaching Spanish at the secondary level. Topics examined include trends and issues related to the teaching of Spanish, innovations, teaching resources, curriculum development, unit and lesson planning, classroom practice and management, testing and assessment, and the role of technology in teaching. A thorough review of National Standards, the Massachusetts Frameworks and the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines will be conducted. The course includes a 45 hours pre-practicum experience at an area middle or secondary school and is conducted in Spanish.
