MAT 407 Probability and Mathematical Statistics I 3 Credit(s) This course is an introduction to probability models and random variables. Topics may include simple counting methods, expectation, variance, moment and moment generating functions, the binomial, Poisson, exponential, and Normal distributions. Three lecture hours per week. Required of all Mathematics majors with a Secondary Education minor.
Prerequisite: MAT 221
