PHS 102A Physical Science II 4 Credit(s) DII This course is a continuation of PHS 101A , examining additional topics in physical science. There will be an emphasis on the process of scientific investigation and the development of scientific concepts, reasoning skills, and mathematical modeling. Topics may include electricity, and magnetism; atomic and chemical structure; the properties of light; and observational astronomy. Three lecture hours, and one two-hour laboratory per week. Not open to students who have received credits for PHS106 or PHS102. Prerequisite: PHS 101A or PHS101 or PHS105.
