WLC 300 Introduction to Translation 3 Credit(s) This course offers an introduction to the history, theory, and practice of translation. Students will learn the basic techniques needed for effective translation and will practice translating materials from a variety of fields and styles into and from the source and target languages. Translation theory and career options will also be addressed. Emphasis will be placed on command of appropriate professional lexicon and awareness of the relationship between language and culture.
