GNE 710 - Planning for the Inclusive Classroom: Developing Successful Frameworks

This course provides K-12 general, special, and paraprofessional educators with concepts and strategies to promote the successful social and academic integration of children with disabilities, and those students at-risk for school failure, in the general education classroom. Participants will explore the benefits of collaborating with colleagues to design and implement effective instruction. A brief history of special education and federal policies related to general education teachers and a student’s least restrictive environment will be reviewed.
