ATR 301 Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries

The course examines competencies necessary for effective functioning as an athletic trainer. Topics include cause, prevention, recognition care and reconditioning of athletic injuries/illnesses. The course focuses on the physiological and pathological nature of injuries. Open only to and required of students in Exercise Science - Pre-Rehabilitation Sciences Concentration. The course meets for four lecture hours per week and is recommended for sophomore year. This course is not open to students who have received credit for SFL349 or ATR101.
