CRJ 200 Corrections 3 Credit(s) This course introduces the student to the historical and philosophical development of what is commonly referred to as “the correctional system”. Special emphasis will be given to the structure, administration and nature of institutional and community corrections. Topics may include the inmate subculture, community based treatment programs, and prisoner rights, as well as the societal functions of corrections. Three lecture hours per week. CRJ major requirement.
Prerequisite: CRJ101. Prerequisite: CRJ 101 .
