SOC 412 Directed Studies in African-American Studies 3 Credit(s) An in-depth exploration of the fundamentals of African-American studies. The course is designed to help students explore, in their own style, the major theories and issues in the study of the Black experience. A final paper is required in addition to weekly meetings and discussions. Prerequisites: Four courses in African-American Studies. Open to African American Studies minors and to others by permission of Department Chairperson. Not open to students who have received credit for SOC 512.
