SPC 102H Public Speaking-Honors 3 Credit(s) OC This course is an introduction to the theory and practice of persuasion and argumentation in contemporary life. This course includes analysis of persuasive techniques used in the mass media and of arguments applied to political and social issues. Emphasis will be placed on the development of each student’s ability to express, advocate, and defend a point of view. This course satisfies the oral communication core requirement. Three lecture hours per week.
