EEC 309 Policy, Perspectives, and Advocacy in Early Childhood Education 3 Credit(s) This course explores historical and current trends and issues involving legislation and policy in early childhood education, multi-lingual education, early childhood special education, and culturally-responsive education. Students will also explore the historical role of social advocacy with a focus on how to develop their own advocacy skills. The importance of collaboration and consultation with other professions and staff in early childhood education will also be explored. Prerequisite: EEC 105 .
