SWK 838 - Health and Behavioral Health Policy in Child, Youth and Family Services3 Credit(s) Building on policy analysis skills acquired in the introductory policy course, this course prepares students for practice in child, youth and family welfare by deepening the student’s substantive knowledge of health, mental health, and related policies and services. Students engage in policy implementation analysis and evaluation and learn how to participate in the policy-making process through legislative advocacy. Three lecture hours per week.
