A critical examination of twentieth century British novelists and their intellectual traditions. The readings will be drawn from such writers as Ford, Forster, Lawrence, Joyce, Woolf, and Bowen. Three lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credit for ENG339A. Prerequisite: ENG 102, ENG 102E,

and at least one English course at the 200- level or permission of the department chairperson.
