POL 310 The United States Congress 3 Credit(s) CS Described alternately as a mere tool for special interests or as the most democratic branch of the United States government, Congress remains a perplexing institution. This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the legislative branch, its internal modes of operation, and its relation to the executive and judicial branches. Simulations, role-play and other methods may be used to explore the legislative process. Three lecture hours per week.
