SOC 210 Social Thought I: Established Thought 3 Credit(s) This course considers the broad spectrum of thought and ideas directed through history toward the nature of society and humanity’s place within the social framework. The course primarily examines historical and contemporary examples of accepted or “establishment” thought as expressed by a variety of social philosophers as well as sociologists. Three lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credit for SOC 300. Prerequisite: SOC 110 or SOC 201 or permission of Department Chairperson.
