GLS 761 - Field Experiences in Earth Sciences3 Credit(s) The New England area is blessed with opportunities for experiential outdoor learning. We have rivers, beaches and glacial features near to hand, just waiting for exploration. This web-enhanced course takes advantage of our local geology through a combination of web activities, in-class projects and brief lectures. Students will participate on-line through pre-class exercises and in-class activities and assessments. As a group the class will develop a shared portfolio of lesson plans and useful field projects. Teams will give a virtual field trip to the class as a final project. Field Fee may be applied.
Pre-requisite: GLS100 or permission of the instructor.
