EDC 723 - Science Methods in the Early Primary Grades3 Credit(s) This course is a hands-on, inquiry-based approach to teaching science. Topics will include physical, earth, and life sciences, as well as health and engineering. Students will examine how to approach these subjects in a developmentally appropriate manner in order to achieve instructional objectives in grades pre-K-2. Emphasis will be on learning how students construct an understanding of science concepts and how to design lessons, and integrated units. Field-based assignments are required.
Pre-requisite: EDC 406 Literacy Development II.
