CRJ 352 Corrections 3 Credit(s) This course introduces the student to the historical and philosophical development of “the correctional system.” Special emphasis will be given to the structure, administration, and nature of institutional and community corrections. Topics may include the inmate subculture, community-based treatment programs, and prisoner rights, as well as the societal functions of corrections. Three lecture hours per week. CRJ major requirement.
Prerequisite: CRJ101. Not open to students who received credit for CRJ200.
