CRJ 380 Criminal Profiling 3 Credit(s) This course provides an overview of the current use of criminal profiling within the criminal justice system. Students will examine the history, structure, and function of the four main types of criminal profiling: Crime Scene Analysis, Investigative Psychology, Geographic Analysis, and Behavioral Evidence Analysis. Various facets of the profiling process will be examined, such as the psychology of the offender, crime scene analysis, and the interpretation of evidence. Three lecture hours per week. Prerequisite: CRJ101.
