ENL 336 Art of the Essay 3 Credit(s) A study of the essay as a literary genre, focusing not only on its origin and development, but also the aesthetics of the form itself. Readings will include representative “great” essays, some critical commentary, and a collection of essays by a major modern writer. The lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credit for ENG350.
Prerequisite: A W-I course.
