SOC 247 Social Inequality: Race, Class and Gender 3 Credit(s) CS This course provides an introduction to the study of social inequality. Students will analyze systemic and structural inequality in terms of race, class, and gender across a variety of social institutions. Students will also examine the process of intergenerational mobility, explore the systems and structures that influence social mobility, and compare social mobility in the United States to social mobility in other countries. Three lecture hours per week.
