EDS 891 - Methods and Materials in Special Education

3 Credit(s) This course equips candidates with the pedagogical skill to enact Universal Design for Learning, differentiated instruction, and classroom management strategies in order for teachers to effectively enact content-based pedagogies to meet all student needs. Additionally, students learn pedagogical approaches to using assistive technology to provide access to the subject matter content knowledge for students with exceptional learning needs through a variety of adaptive pedagogies. Design and modification of pedagogy, instructional materials, and general education environments for students with ELN in order to support their access to the content areas are a key focus.
