ART 810 - Clinical Experience III3 Credit(s) This course is a continuation of Clinical Experience I & II, and is designed to provide the student with opportunities to advance their clinical reasoning skills and integrate knowledge and skills previously developed and evaluated in the athletic training program. Students will advance their clinical decision-making by emphasizing the use of disablement models and clinical outcome assessments to facilitate evidence-based athletic training practice. Students will complete a total of 240 hours. This includes 225 clinical experience hours under the direct supervision of an approved clinical preceptor (28 hours/week for 8 weeks). In addition, 15 lecture hours will be used to facilitate critical thinking and assess skills related to clinical practice. This course is opened only to and required of students enrolled in the Athletic Training master’s degree program.
