ART 314 Graphic Design for Publications

This course focuses on both the technical proficiency and the graphic design methods used in producing a range of publications such as brochures, magazines, and annual reports. Students create electronic pre-press files using industry standard software. The complexities of layout and grid systems are covered, including the use and integration of images, typography, and other graphic design elements. Required of Art majors in the Graphic Design and Interactive Multimedia concentrations and minors. Five and one-half scheduled studio hours plus three and one-half open studio hours per week. Prerequisite: ART295
