BIO 304 Microbiology and Its Applications 4 Credit(s) An introduction to the characteristics and biology of microorganisms, with emphasis on the epidemiology of human pathogens, and understanding of the infective process, immunology, and control of these organisms. The laboratory phase of this course will provide the student with practice in aseptic techniques and manipulation of microbial environments. Three lecture hours and one two-hour laboratory per week.
Prerequisites: BIO105 or BIO131 or BIO132 and CHE117 or CHE130.
