CRJ 210 Ethics in Criminal Justice Decision Making 3 Credit(s) This course introduces students to an analysis of the moral and philosophical dilemmas that criminal justice policymaking and field personnel face while carrying out their daily responsibilities. The effect of moral concerns on practical decision-making is a primary focus, and specific topics are drawn from all phases and agencies of criminal justice processing, including law enforcement, the courts, and corrections. Attention also focuses on the tradeoffs involved in resolving moral dilemmas as they impact the criminal justice system. Three lecture hours per week. CRJ major requirement.
Prerequisite: CRJ101. Not open to students who received credit for CRJ435.
