EDU 770 - Legal Issues for School Leaders

1.5 Credit(s) This course will introduce candidates to federal and state law pertinent to effective school leadership. Course content will also explore local mandates, policies, and the role of school leaders in carrying out those laws and policies or advocating for change when appropriate. Particular attention will be paid to legal issues surrounding special education, personnel management, equal access, and free speech. 1.5 lecture hours per week.
