ENG 821 - Contemporary Approaches to Teaching Literature3 Credit(s) The primary focus of this class is to introduce middle and high school teachers to the research, theories, and scholarship which inform current literature pedagogy. Students will implement theory into practice as they decide how to adapt current models to their own classroom situations. This course is required for MAT and MA/MAT candidates. This course is designed for and highly recommended for students who are current or future teachers. Three lecture hours per week.
