NUR 836F - Adult-Gerontology Primary Care II: Field experience

This clinical practicum experience continues to challenge the student to grow into the role of the nurse practitioner in adult-gerontology primary care settings.  Through the integration of the nurse practitioner core and adult gerontology primary care competencies, beginning clinical proficiency is achieved in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of physical, cognitive, and psychological variations in the health care of adults across the lifespan. This clinical practicum requires a minimum of 180 hours of direct faculty-supervised clinical hours with a preceptor.
