ATR 716 - Evidence-Based Practice1 Credit(s) This course will develop fundamental skills necessary for evidence-based practice in the delivery of healthcare. The concepts and clinical application of reliability, validity, specificity, and sensitivity are discussed as they relate to diagnostic accuracy. Students learn how to develop clinical questions, search currently available literature, critically appraise research, and integrate evidence into clinical practice. Emphasis will be placed on integrating the best available research, clinical experience and expertise, along with the values and experiences of the patient. The course meets one (1) hour per week and is open only to and required of students enrolled in the Athletic Training master’s degree program.
Pre-requisites: ATR 700 , ATR 702 , ATR 704 , ATR 706 , ATR 708 .
Co-requisites: ATR 710 , ATR 712 , ATR 714 , ATR 718 .
