ACC 700 - Financial Accounting and Reporting I3 Credit(s) This accounting course in financial reporting, along with Financial Accounting and Reporting II (ACC 701 ), forms the foundation for the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) Program. The course provides students with a solid base in accounting fundamentals, including U.S. GAAP, the conceptual framework, nature of accounts, journal entries, and ultimately, financial statements. This course focuses a in-depth coverage of the process by which accountants analyze, journalize, post, and summarize transactions. The courses reviews and analyzes multiple examples of current “real life” financial statements. The students would practice data analytics through the analysis of companies’ financial ratios. Three Lecture hours per week.
Pre-requisite: ACC106 or ACC 720
