EDS 768 - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Pre-Practicum I

1 Credit(s) This field placement component accompanies EDS 792 Introduction to TESOL Methods in the graduate TESOL licensure programs. This course provides intensive experience and guidance in the field as students learn and practice instruction across the Pk-12 ESL curriculum. Candidates will receive at least one formal observation with pre- and post-conferences by their faculty supervisor. Students must be in a field placement and acquire pre-practicum hours and field experiences at 3-6 hours weekly (minimum total of 30 hours for the term). The course is graded as Pass/Fail/Marginal Pass. 1 credit.
Pre-requisite:  Admission into the MAT ESOL Licensure Track or Initial License Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages program.
Co-requisite: EDS 792 Introduction to TESOL Methods
