SWK 871 - Social Work with Older Adults and their Families

3 Credit(s) This elective course addresses the experience of aging and the challenges associated with transitioning into aging. Discussions include the role of family members in relation to the older adult’s family member, the impact of illness and disability on the older adult and caregivers, and the prevention and treatment of abuse and neglect.
Prerequisite: Admissions to the MSW Program or Admissions to MSW Advanced Standing Program
