EDC 795A - Universal Design for Learning Foundations

1.5 Credit(s) All teachers teach all students; therefore all teachers must prepare to work with students with exceptional learning needs (ELN). This course will develop candidates’ understanding of the collaborative roles of professionals who work with families to support students with ELN. It is designed to provide an overview of RTI and eligibility for special education. UDL Foundations examines current state and federal laws pertinent to the delivery of special education services; there will be specific emphasis on the six principles of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
