EDC 792 - Secondary Science Education MAT Pre-Practicum I

1 Credit(s) This field placement component accompanies EDC 778, Methods of Teaching Secondary Science I in the Secondary Science graduate licensure program(s). This course provides intensive experience and guidance in the field as students learn and practice instruction across the 5-12 Science Licensure curriculum. Candidates will receive at least one formal observation with pre- and post-conferences by their faculty supervisor. Students must be in a field placement and acquire pre-practicum hours and field experiences at 3-6 hours weekly (minimum total of 30 hours for the term). The course is graded as Pass/Fail/Marginal Pass. 1 credit.
Pre-requisite: Admission into the Teacher of Secondary Science Initial Licensure Certificate program
