EDC 768 - Elementary Physical Education MAT Pre-Practicum I

1 Credit(s) This field placement component accompanies EDC 780 Methods of Teaching Elementary Physical Education in the Teaching Physical Education graduate licensure programs. This course provides intensive experience and guidance in the field as students learn and practice instruction across the PK-8 Physical Education curriculum. Candidates will receive at least one formal observation with pre- and post-conferences by their faculty supervisor. Students must be in a field placement and acquire pre-practicum hours and field experiences at 3-6 hours weekly (minimum total of 30 hours for the term). The course is graded as Pass/Fail/Marginal Pass. 1 credit.
Pre-requisite: Admission into the MAT Physical Education program.
