EDS 769 - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Pre-Practicum II

1 Credit(s) This field placement component accompanies EDS 728 TESOL Methods in PK-12 Schools in the graduate TESOL licensure programs. This course provides intensive experience and guidance in the field as students learn and practice instruction across the Pk-12 ESL curriculum. Candidates will receive at least one formal observation with pre- and post-conferences by their faculty supervisor. Students must be in a field placement and acquire pre-practicum hours and field experiences at 6 hours weekly (minimum total of 60 hours for the term). The course is graded as Pass/Fail/Marginal Pass. 1 credit.
Pre-requisite: Admission into the MAT ESOL Licensure Track or Initial License Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages program.
