EDC 729 - Secondary Mathematics Education 4+1 Pre-Practicum II1 Credit(s) This field placement component accompanies EDC 775 Methods of Teaching Mathematics II in the Combined B.A. in English and Master of Education in Secondary Mathematics Education with a Major in Teacher Education (4+1) licensure program. This course provides intensive experience and guidance in the field as students learn and practice instruction across the 5-12 Mathematics Licensure curriculum. Candidates will receive at least one formal observation with pre- and post-conferences by their faculty supervisor. Students must be in a field placement and acquire pre-practicum hours and field experiences at 6 hours weekly (minimum total of 60 hours for the term). The course is graded as Pass/Fail/Marginal Pass. 1 credit.
Pre-requisite: Admission into the Combined BS Mathematics-MAT Secondary Teacher Education 4+1 program
