This course offers a conceptual framework for understanding trauma as it relates to children, adults, and families.It examines trauma from a historical, intergenerational, and theoretical perspective.The course methods consist of lectures, videos, case studies, and guest lecturers. Three lecture hours per week.

Prerequisites: SWK101, PSY101, OR SOC110 or Permission of the Chaiperson of the department
