BIO 416H Honors Biology Internship 3 Credit(s) This course is for Biology majors who are also in the Commonwealth Honors Program and are completing their Honors thesis project off campus in the discipline of Biology under the direction of a faculty member in the Department of Biology. It is preceded by a 1.5 credit course (Honors Seminar I, IDS600H) in which students work extensively on project development. This may be an internship, research project, or service-learning project related to biology at an outside institution, company or nonprofit organization. Students wishing to register for this course must make prior arrangements with the Department Chairperson and the faculty member overseeing their internship or other off campus project and provide the on-site supervisor’s contact information. Minimum of 9 hours per week. Open only to Senior Biology Majors unless a student is in the Nuclear Medicine Technology Concentration. Honors students with an NMT concentration may register for this course as juniors
Prerequisites: IDS600H.
Co-requisite: IDS601H. Open only to students in the Commonwealth Honors Program. Open only to Biology seniors unless the student is pursuing a concentration in Nuclear Medicine Technology, in which case, the student may be a junior. Department Chairperson permission required.
