The program is designed to appeal to several market segments:
- Mid-career professionals who wish to transition into the hospitality and tourism industry from another field
- Lower level employees within the industry who wish to advance through increasing their knowledge base
- Recent baccalaureate graduates who wish to make themselves more marketable on the North Shore
Students completing this program will find a number of career tracks available to them. Potential placements upon completion include management positions at local lodging, restaurant, resort or tourist operations. Alternatively, they could be self-employed or work for a larger corporation as event planners. They would also be appropriately prepared for managerial positions with local Chambers of Commerce, Tourist Boards, or Convention Centers.
