Nursing, Master of Science/Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Purpose

This course of study provides a flexible program of higher education through which students may earn, on a part-time basis, a Master of Science Degree with a major in nursing. Courses are offered primarily in the evening hours and are planned so that the part-time student can complete the program in three to three and one-half years.

Total Credits: 45


All students in the MSN/Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program must achieve a B or greater in each of the following courses: NUR 812 , NUR 813 NUR 817 ,   NUR 833 NUR 835 NUR 836 NUR 837 , and NUR 838 . The School of Graduate Studies repeat policy does not apply to these courses. Any student who does not achieve a grade of B or greater in these nine courses will be dismissed from the Nursing Program without the opportunity to repeat.

Students who successfully complete this program will be eligible for board certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nursing (AGPCNP-BC).
