The English Department offers an accelerated program which allows students to earn both a Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Education in Secondary Education  in five years*  The Accelerated program advances the University’s mission to foster the intellectual and personal growth of students by providing an array of innovative learning opportunities. A English major meeting the eligibility criteria may apply to the Accelerated program.

*        Students accepted into the combined undergraduate/graduate program who choose not to continue in the combined program must complete an educational studies minor in lieu of the teacher education minor.
